King's Colonials. Scarce head-dress badge for the British-American Squadron of the King's Colonials. This was one of the four original squadrons formed in London in 1901,from Colonials to represent the senior members of the Empire. In the correct "yellow-brass" with two loops to the reverse.[see also item 11576]

The King's Colonials. Rare Regimental badge for the King's Colonials,the entwined letters "KC" with the Prince of Wales's plumes above and the motto "Regi Adsumus Coloni" below. The King's Colonials wore three badges on their unique head-dress,two regimental ones and a Squadron badge. In the correct "yellow brass" with three loops to the reverse.
